The Gally Canters

“Eclectic Folk from Ireland and elsewhere” The Gally Canters are a lively band who play upbeat folk tunes and songs. They are guaranteed to add joy to any event they play at and would love to bring this vibe to Milton Park in July. They are a vibrant and eclectic folk group based in the High Peak. Their line up is a diverse ensemble centred around an Irish fiddle and penny whistle, along with mandolin, accordion, guitars, bodhráns, bass and, of course, vocals. Their repertoire features a varied mix of lively Irish jigs and reels paired with rabble-rousing songs, both original and their own take of well known classics. They always create a fun, foot-stomping atmosphere where audiences can’t stop themselves from joining in the celebration. Their influences stretch from traditional Irish tunes through to established & modern folk, Americana and pop. Their festival experience includes being headliners at the annual New Mills Folk Night as well as the closing live act at the Northern Green Gathering.
